My friend, Phil Gerkin, worked for four years to get me to experience being a Summer Intern at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta, Georgia. The summer after I graduated Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, I ran out of excuses. It was a marvelous experience. At the time, their internship was called "The Rabbi Program."
